How cute! It’s amazing how protective and understanding pets can be with little ones. If I even came close to doing the things that my daughter does to our cat, my hands would be shredded, but when it comes to her, he just lays there and takes the grief!

My cat always wants to sit on my lap when I am nursing.
We have two cats – they used to fight over who was going to nap on the nursing pillow. I’d forgotten all about that until this picture

My evil cat does it too! Not because she’s protective, though – more like because she’s jealous. She even tries to sit on top of my nursing baby. Grr.

Ha ha HA! My dog makes me NUTSO, because not only does she try to nurse on occasion when Sam does (GRAH), but she hovers above my shoulders on the couch, staring down at Sam while she eats, and making her laugh so that she can’t concentrate on her meal.

My tabby did this too! I’ve got a couple photos of it…baby on one side (football hold) and cat napping on the other!
