I was reading your Dr. Suess post and took some time to look at your pictures.
I like the picture at Parliament Hill. It was taken just 10 days ahead of my visit to our wonderful capital. While on tour of the Parliament buildings my young son (10 months) got hungry, what is a mom to do…I nursed as we walked.
A guard stopped me and told me I would have to go some where private to nurse and to cover up! Can you believe it right in front of the Senate chambers where the breastfeeding laws were made. I am not one to shy away from discrimination so I made a complaint to the security department and then decided to take it to the press. Global news ran a piece on the National news! I was never so proud of my rights to breast feed than at that moment!
