Blogiversary Contest (May 2009)

PhD in Parenting is one year old and I want to give you a chance to celebrate with me by winning some great prizes.

Important!! I have been told that some people cannot see the instructions on how to win the prizes at the bottom of this page, so I reposted the instructions here: Re-post of Scavenger Hunt Questions.

Prize # 3: Digital Subscription to Mothering WINNER: Kelly N.

The next prize is a digital subscription to Mothering Magazine donated by doudou bebe. This digital subscription, which looks like this, gives you everything you get with a paper copy of the magazine, without having to wait for it in the mail. Published bi-monthly on the same schedule as the print magazine. It is valued at $15.

Mothering celebrates the experience of parenthood as worthy of one’s best efforts and fosters awareness of the immense importance and value of parenthood and family life in the development of the full human potential. As a readers’ magazine, Mothering recognizes parents as the experts and wishes to provide truly helpful information upon which parents can base informed choices. Each issue contains philosophical inspiration and practical advice about family living. Topics are as diverse as circumcision, vaccinations, organic foods, childhood illnesses, home birth, ear infections, parenting teens, web site information, midwifery, and homeopathy.

This prize is available to participants worldwide.

Prize #4: Funky Fabric from Pink Panda Fabrics WINNER: Amy M.

You don’t have to sew with “old lady” fabrics anymore! Pink Panda Fabrics is a new online Canadian retailer of funky fabrics. They are donating 2 yards of any fabric as a prize. Perfect for making slings and other baby carriers or for your other sewing desires.

Prize #5: Set of 5 of Biogreen Bottles (two sets to be won!) WINNERS: Slee F. and Krista S.

BioGreen Bottles, manufactured by California Springs – are is the first fully recycled, biodegradable, recyclable water bottles that actually break down into beneficial compounds once their “useful” life is over.   The compound is FDA approved for food/water contact, has no smell or taste, and it does not begin to breakdown until it hits the “chemical soup” of a landfill. The bottles currently are available on Amazon.com for the general public, and they are in talks with mass retailers for Q3 of 2009.

The winners will get a set of 5 bottles: two adult size, one mid-sized and two child-sized bottles.  This set is valued at $30 to $40.

This prize is available to participants in Canada, the United States and Mexico.
