Advertising Options
Advertising is offered on a flat-rate basis for periods of one week or more. The fee includes a $10 administration fee, as well as a fee for the time period and placement requested.
The available placements, which are illustrated in the graphic below, are:
- Premium-text based ads (within top 768 pixels)
- Premium graphics-based ads (from 768 pixels to bottom of BlogHer ad headlines = around 1200 pixels)
- Mid-level graphics-based ads (around 1200 pixels to 2400 pixels)
- Mid-level text-based ads (around 1200 pixels to 2400 pixels)
- Lower-level graphics-based ads (below 2400 pixels)
- Lower-level text-based ads (below 2400 pixels)
- End of post: On request, advertisers can have graphic banner ads at the bottom of certain posts (on a topic-by-topic basis or other criteria). These ads will always appear below the 768 pixel mark (i.e. will not be offered on very short posts).
- Combination twitter/blog packages: I will entertain offers to promote your business on my blog as well as on twitter. All paid tweets will be fully disclosed.
We reserve the right to refuse any advertising that we do not think is a good fit with the blog. PhD in Parenting complies with the WHO Code on the Marketing of Breast-Milk Substitutes and therefore does not accept any advertising for bottles, infant formula, pacifiers, or other breast substitutes. The PhD in Parenting blog retains editorial purview over all content and we do not accept proposals for advertorial content within the main blog feed.
