Nursing a Toddler in a Ring Sling

I'm posting this picture of nursing a toddler in a ring sling as part of the "This is what a nursing toddler looks like" carnival being organized by @TopHat8855 from the bee in your bonnet. Below the post, I'll be linking up to the other carnival participants as they add their posts over the course of the day.

Switch to Nursing in the Ring Sling

My favourite nursing toddler picture

I also wanted to share this fabulous picture of Jenn from bits of myself: right down the middle of main street. Jenn survived cancer and was able to go back to nursing her daughter after she finished her treatment. This is a picture of her nursing her toddler, dressed up in Minnie Mouse gear, on the middle of main street in Disney World. It is an experience my daughter would love, I can guarantee that!

Great pictures! Baby carriers and nursing are both things I love!

That looks much more comfortable then how we do it in the Ergo.

I tell all of my classes that I couldn't have parented without my sling. I LOVED it and really mourned when my boys were too big to be worn anymore.
THANKS for posting these great shots!

I was so wrapped up in my lovely graduation junk I forgot to take a new picture. Oh well. Here is one from a couple of weeks ago. :)

That's how we do the sling, too! And thanks for the link to the Disney pic. My MIL is a Disney freak and a HUGE lactivist. When she found out we were going to the FB nurse-in while visiting her, she asked, "Do we get to come?" She even made up the signs!

I'm glad I came across this carnival through your site! I'm directing people to read all the posts.

That's a great sling-nursing position, and it's so helpful to have the pictures. I usually just go with more of an upright nursing position while he's still on my hip, but that means I have to really loosen the sling (or other carrier) he's in so he can get down low enough. Your solution looks more streamlined. Sitting up -- tip! -- nursing. Perfect!

I'm not really in the carnival of breastfeeding toddlers (particularly my dd3 weaned last year at 3 years), but I did post a toddler nursing picture while studying a human development textbook with my nursing story at http://raisingsmartgirls.wordpress.com/2009/05/10/my-breastfeeding-story-and-this-is-what-nursing-a-toddler-looks-like-while-studying/ (scroll down to see the pic).
