I was here...

I was remembering all of this and more.

Where were you? What were you remembering?

At home, taking care of baby.

I mourn on Remembrance Day. Such awful, useless, loss of life.

I was in my kitchen, juicing a pomegranate for my and my womb-mate to enjoy. Trying to only think happy thoughts.

I was at the local cenotaph with my husband and toddler. We go every year; the service is exactly the same every year, the same people are there every year, but the vets are getting SO OLD.

I have to admit that through the remembering and thinking, I was wishing I had remembered to bring a hat - that wind was cold. But I think it should be, so we can all feel a little of what it was like for the men and women involved.
